Introducing the PostromoEm65 LUT (Version 1.0) - a versatile, dynamic LUT designed to be used with film emulation software such as Dehancer or Filmconvert - but it also looks great on its own. The process has been in development for the past three years and is finally available for FREE download - and we plan to keep it that way. However, if you like the product and our content, please consider donating via the link below so we can continue to create products, tools and content for filmmakers at no cost.

About the LUT: PostromoEm65 was designed with several film stocks in mind, essentially taking advantage of the digital process and picking out our favourite aspects from a multitude of different film stocks. The “65” comes from the fact that the process was finalized alongside 4K scans of real 65mm film. It’s designed so it can be used in a multitude of different lighting scenarios and still react with colour the same way real film does - from bright sunlight, to overcast skies, to outdoor nights, to indoor artificial light. The process was mastered in Blackmagic Raw from an Ursa Mini Pro 4.6K G2, which means things may look slightly off depending on camera model, but this can be easily remedied. Look too green, or too warm? Simply use the built in tint and temperature functions of Davinci Resolve to shift the image more towards a magenta hue and cool off the colour temperature. Most editing software have similar functions built in as well. As said above and in the video, this is version 1.0 so expect updates in the future - to keep track of those, consider becoming a member on our website for no cost.
